Elizabeth Callahan Hendricks, 63, of 754 Swan Creek Road, Gladys, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Arthur Ramsey Hendricks.
Born Sept. 19, 1939, in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Carrington Callahan and Ethel Callahan. She was a member of Swan Creek Baptist Church and an employee of Sunshine Cleaners.
She is survived by one son, Clinton Ramsey Hendricks of Gladys; one brother, J.C. Callahan of Lynchburg; five sisters, Matilda Neal, Louise Hall and Eva Cupec all of Gladys, Emily Gilbert of Conway, S.C., and Billie Langford of Concord; and one granddaughter, Sarah Blankenship.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Gail Hendricks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Swan Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Shelton Miles and the Rev. Lee Roy Davis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista, and other times at the residence.
