Carroll Bruce Seamster
Born Sept. 21, 1944, in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Edward Bruce Seamster and Elsie Elliott Seamster Hollie of Gladys. He was of the Baptist faith and a farmer.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Jerry Wayne Hollie of Gladys; two sons, Donald Bruce Seamster and his wife, Hopie, of Nathalie, Carroll Billy Seamster and his wife, Mandy, of Gladys; one stepson, Russell Allen Rice of Danville; one brother, Lewis Edward Seamster of Gladys; three sisters, Joan Childress of Brookneal, Brenda Carr of Altavista and Phyllis Tuck of Gladys; three grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Ronald Edward Rice and his wife, Margaret Lloyd Rice. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Swan Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Shelton Miles III. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Finch & Finch Inc. Funeral and Cremation Service, Gladys, and other times at the residence of his mother and stepfather, Elsie and Jerry Wayne Hollie, 417 Clays Ferry Road, Gladys.
